Luckily, shoes like the Tory Burch Tatum Platform Sandals abound this season. I'm particularly fond of this pair, though, because the heel and straps are so substantial. You'll find a lot of uses for this type of color once you get it into your wardrobe, and with a design like Burch's shoes, you'll be able to wear them as much as you want.
For some reason, I've been convinced for years that orange-tinged pinks and reds don't look good on me. Considering that I have pale skin and dark hair, I don't think that's objectively true, but it's the kind of belief that persists simply because it was ingrained in my mind so early.
In reality, brights look almost universally flattering to my skin tone, but I'm having to ease myself into coral via accessories until I clear the last mental roadblock to wholehearted embrace of the shade.
The light, frothy sundresses of spring and summer need a good shoe to anchor them, and the heft of these sandals is just right. Toryburch did the smart thing by not cluttering them up with too many straps or too much hardware, and with the prevalence of color-mixing for spring, you'll be able to wear them with all kinds of outfits until the weather turns cool again.
Manolo Blahnik Irie Quilted Slingbacks
Shoes like the Manolo Blahnik Irie Quilted Slingbacks are starting to feel more current than they have in quite a while, but has spending some time outside of the spotlight affected Blahnik's shoes? Does the old master still have the touch, or will you be looking elsewhere for your trendy shoes this year?
As we've spoken about several times in the space, the thin-heeled, high-platformed shoes of the past several seasons are started to feel not-so-fresh. Chunky heels and platformless pumps have made a very strong comeback for 2011, so what does that mean for famous platform-hater Manolo Blahnik shoes?
I was surprised to find that I had trouble finding a shoe I genuinely liked to illustrate this post. I love Blahnik's Mary Janes, but I've written about those previously. He makes some nice suede pumps, but I like the overall shape of the less-expensive Kate Spade doppelganger better. None of his platformless shoes are as sexy as Pigalles Louboutins shoes.
The shoes above throw off a very Chanel-esque vibe with the quilting and color scheme, and although they look a little bit Ladies Who Lunch, I think that they could be styled in a more casual way to feel more current. But I still can't help but wonder: Has manolo blahniks unwillingness to make platforms left him behind, even as trends swing back his way?
When you talk about the most classic and iconic nike run shoes , it’s hard to mention the Air Max 1 without also noting the Air Max 90. So it follows that if the Air Max 1 is going to get the Hyperfuse treatment, the 90 is going to be right behind.
The Nike Air Maxes 90–Hyperfuse uses the same technology as the Air Max 1, featuring a no-sew upper that instead opts for heat transfer and pressure adhesion in constructing the upper, allowing for a significantly reduced weight as well as maximal breathability due to the mesh upper. Hit the jump for plenty of detailed looks at each of the initial two colorways, and stick with NB for more details as they develop.
We already know Blake Lively and Christian Louboutins are BFF’s. Blake announced on the Live with Regis & Kelly show back in September 2010 that Christian Louboutin named a shoe after her. She said "I want to sleep with it under my pillow every night."
Christian Louboutin Blake 100 Sandals
We’ve been hearing about the Christian Louboutin Blake 100 Sandals for quite a while now, mostly because busty blonde namesake Blake Lively mentioned them in several interviews a few months ago while they were still in the manufacturing process, and now the first stock photos of the shoe are out. I had seen a grainy shot of the louboutins shoes here and there, but this shows the design in all of its multicolored glory.
I keep looking at these shoes and trying to decide if they look like something Blake Lively would wear, and usually the answer is "yes" by default. Any christian louboutins sale shoe looks like a shoe she would wear, mostly because I think she owns all of them at this point, sort of like how she seems to own every Marchesa minidress ever made. Lively reportedly shirks the direction of a stylist in favor of choosing her clothes herself, which leads to some very clear trends in the pieces she tends to choose. Surely we’ll be seeing a pair of these Christian Louboutin shoes on her feet soon; in the meantime, which famous woman would you like to see get a shoe named for her?
Christian Louboutin Pigalle Spikes 120 Pumps
When I’ve been away from work for a few days, I always know exactly where to go to get myself back into the shoe mood – Christian louboutins. Not only are the Christian Louboutin Pigalle Spikes 120 Pumps a shot of shoe lust straight to the head, but they’re enough to make me reconsider studs, which have felt a little flat to me for the past two seasons. I’m pretty sure that Louboutin could make a pair of orthopedic old lady shoes and I’d still want them.
Orthopedic old lady louboutins shoes these are not, obviously. The black-n-black leather and hardware give a chic punk twist to Louboutin’s traditional stiletto, and with a shoe like this, the trademark red soles almost glow from underneath. I’ve been a big fan of the company’s stud-covered looks in the past, but layers and textures of black are always an easy sell to me, which makes this design my favorite version of the Pigalle Spikes to date.Buy the Christian Louboutin Pigalle Spikes 120 Pumps at christian louboutins sale store
Christian Louboutin Lady Peep Spikes 150 Pumps
Suffice it to say that the Christian Louboutin Lady Peep Spikes 150 Pumps would probably make a wonderful "Fill in the Blank"post, but since we've already done one of those this week, First, I should quote the illustrious Tim Gunn – this shoe is a lot of look. A picture of this shoe is in the dictionary next to "a lot of look."Or it would be, if phrases appeared in the dictionary. A six-inch gold patent leather stiletto is a difficult shoe to make classy in the first place, and then when you cover it with shiny magenta studs, I'm a little bit baffled as to how this design might work its way into one's wardrobe.
I suppose we'll have to do a regular review of these christianlouboutin shoes. And try as I might, thinking of exactly what to say about such, uh, "interesting"footwear has been quite difficult; I have had nary a coherent thought about this design since I laid eyes on these christian louboutins sale shoes yesterday. But hey, let's give it a shot anyway.
But I also find myself loving the Lady Peep Spikes just a little bit, if only because I think fashion needs more ridiculousness, not less. It's boring when everyone wears the same things and people are too nervous about facing criticism to step outside the bounds of normal footwear and go for something truly odd and special.
These Christian Louboutin shoes absolutely fit that description, and if you love them, you should wear them with your head held high. Just make sure it's not too high; you don't want to trip over anyone who's stopped to gawk at your Louboutins shoes.
