Red python is a proposition that I suspect few shoe lovers will want to turn down, and Choo’s recent use of mesh has been interesting.Other than a totally delectable and wonderful pair of flat motorcycle boots, Jimmy Choo's best shoes all seem to have two things in common: high, thin heels and lots of strips of leather.

I disagree with the idea that this design constitutes a “bootie” in any way, shape or form, but that doesn’t invalidate the more positive aspects of the design. What we see here may not represent any sort of interesting innovation or groundbreaking new idea, but sometimes all you really want or need is a shoe that will make your legs look great and match your pedicure.

It allows a strappy sandal to cover a little more ground without losing its skin-revealing sexiness, but it also makes a heel a bit more stable and supportive to the foot. Not that practical concerns will often enter the picture when considering a pair of jimmy choo shoes like this one, but it’s a nice perk to have once they’re on your feet.
